Do you need a natural skin polisher that comes with a clinical proof of efficiency? Try pineapple. I have found that simply rubbing your skin with a slice of pineapple works magic on dilated pores and minor skin flakiness.

This miraculous effect of pineapple is due to bromelain, an enzyme found in abundance in pineapple's flesh. Bromelain from pineapple is clinically used as a skin debrider (dead tissue remover) for the treatment of burns.

The 1980s study done by the University of Honolulu has shown that bromelain, while being very useful as a skin resurfacer during the treatment of burns, also demonstrated the "interference with growth of malignant cells", and it slowed down the growth of malignant cells while decreasing inflammatory changes and enhancing the absorption of drugs.

All the good reasons to rub our faces with chunks of pineapple!
