Well-defined eyebrows help to sculpt your facial features and draw attention toward your pretty peepers and away from dark circles or bags if you are prone to them.
GO WITH THE FLOW. Choose a powder or pencil that matches the color of your eyebrows perfectly. Most of us tend to choose reddish hues for eyebrows, while greyish shades of brown appeal most skin and hair tones. We like really great natural eye brow pencils made by Elysambre, Terre D'Oc and UNE Makeup.
SHAPE IT. Your brows should be slightly arched but not round — otherwise, you'll look permanently surprised. To find the natural curve, determine three key points: the inner corner, the peak of the arch and finally, the outer edge. Use a makeup brush to help you determine the placement of these three points. First, line up the handle between the inner corner of the eye with the tip of the nose: The brush will point to where your brow should start.
Next, align your nostril and the outer edge of your iris to establish the location of the peak of the arch.
Last but not least, line up the outer edge of your nostril with the outer corner of your eye: Put the outer tip of your brow here.
STROKE IT. Forget coloring your brows with a single, solid line. You'll get a more natural effect if you sketch them in, aiming for a texture that resembles that of your hairs. This goes for powder as well as for pencil.
SET IT. Finish off with a sweep of eyebrow gel or clear mascara. It will set your brows properly and eliminate any excess makeup.
FEED IT. To encourage brow growth, enrich your diet with vitamins B as a supplement, as well as zinc, copper, and biotin. Apply a little castor oil to your brows with clean mascara wand every evening to see dramatic improvement in your brow growth in as little as one month.
To start cultivating thicker brows, pluck only the hairs between the brows, and any obvious strands on or just above the lid. Restore sparse patches with a powder shadow using a shade closest to, or a shade lighter than your natural hair color. Apply with a small angle brush, beginning at the inner corner of the brow, and moving the brush in upward and outward strokes to blend.
Once your brows have grown to your desired fullness, brush them into place using a clean mascara wand and leave the rest of your makeup neutral.
