First, get some sleep. Sleep deprivation is number one way to lighten up dark circles, aka raccoon eyes. Also, cut back on caffeine and watch your diet for anything water-draining (alcohol, for instance). But for anyone else who has dark eye circle problem because of genetics or allergies, there are other ways to make dark circles go away.

Camouflage is one of the most reliable and quick ways to get rid of dark circles. Dab concealer in the inner corner of your eye - choose a concealer that goes on sheer and has light-reflecting properties - yes, Touche Eclat by YSL is as good today as it was ten years ago. If that doesn't do the trick, brush some under the eye as well. Just don't put on tons of concealer.  Go for a color one shade lighter than your skin tone. Don't apply eyeliner or mascara on your bottom lashes — it only accentuates the darkness.

And to prevent dark circles in the first place, choose a natural eye cream for dark circles with botanicals and vitamins that keep your eye area healthy.
