What's the story beyond our acne products? As you perhaps know, I've been suffering from adult acne for untold years, and I got rid of this unsightly condition when I switched to organic skincare without any harmful chemicals in it. The same month I ditched benzoyl peroxide, my skin started looking much better. This was four, maybe five years ago, and it's clear and healthy, without even monthly breakouts.
It would be nice to attribute my acne breakthrough just to healthy diet and stress relief, but it's not true. I did use a helping hand from nature. It was a homemade aromatherapeutic concoction made with organic plant oils.
Is your acne topical medication ruining your skin, making it dry and flaky? Are you tired to rub toxic chemicals into your inflamed lesions?
Petite Marie Organics is proud to offer its organi acne range, a comprehensive organic treatment for oily, sensitive skin with blemishes and post-acne marks. We are happy to make this line since 2007.
All our acne skincare products are made of certified organic herbal extracts that are scientifically proven to combat acne on multiple levels. For the first time ever, these ingredients were combined in a single treatment.
And I am really glad to report that we managed to improve the formulation even more. It's now even more lightweight, thanks to "Vegetal", the novel and absolutely natural and organically approved emulsifier we now source from France. It's a bit pricey, but it's so worth it. A real pleasure to use and work with. And the proportion of organic ingredients in our acne creams now went up to more than 80%!
Our acne products actually contain zero synthetic chemicals. Unlike conventional acne treatments, Petite Marie Organics' acne products contain no paraben preservatives, benzoyl peroxide, mineral oil, propylene glycol or any petrochemicals. All our acne products contain no ingredients derived from animals, so they are suitable for vegans. And of course our acne (and all the rest of Petite Marie Organics) products were never tested on animals. I am against animal tests. Rabbits get all nervous and give wrong results. Seriously, why test an acne medication on rabbits if we have so many willing human volunteers?
Back in March 2008, 188 happy human volunteers with adult acne tested the formulation (versus placebo in a double-blind study) and reported amazing results:
- 77% reported diminished acne symptoms after 10 days (compared to placebo)
- 89% reported decreased frequency of acne after 30 days of use
- 84% noticed fading and dissolution of stubborn post-acne marks and scars
- 78% noted smooth and moisturized skin appearance
I believe that these amazing results are due to the use of highest grade ingredients that have well-documented success rate against acne symptoms. The most recent update to the formulation is the certified organic Acai fruit oil from Brazil. This amazing antioxidant, praised by dermatologists and dietitians for its super-high content of natural vitamin C, has been shown to produce remarkable results during topical application.
Here are some of other ingredients in our acne range:
Organic Witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) is a cooling, antiseptic, and astringent herbal extract that is exceptionally well tolerated even by the most fragile skin, as proven by dermatologists of University Hospital Luebeck in Germany in 2007.
Organic tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) is an antimicrobial agent effective against viruses, fungi, and especially P.acnes bacteria, as shown by dermatologists at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn in 2008.
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citrates) is a well-known insect repellant and a newly found antioxidant that has strong action against pathogenic bacteria on skin.
Neem (Azadirachta indica) is extremely effective against bacteria, fungi, and is very helpful for a wide range of inflammatory conditions on skin, including acne, dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis.
Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) strengthens skin's immunity by stimulating the production of white skin cells, and cloves (Eugenia uniflora) is currently named the single most potent antioxidant and cancer protective plant known to science.
The medicinal usage of chamomile (Matricaria recutita) dates back to antiquity where such notables as Hippocrates, Galen, and Asclepius made written reference to it. Modern medical science found that chamomile is a strong antioxidant with potent anti-inflammatory and antimutagenic action. Thanks to azulene and bisabolol, chamomile also lightens the uneven skin pigmentation, often the case of post-acne marks.
