For beauty meditation, find a quiet place in your home. Close your eyes and perform a breathing exercise for ten minutes. Concentrate on the breath – make sure your lungs are completely empty before inhaling again. Listen to the sounds closest to you – your own breath, your heart rate or maybe a distant noise of traffic or sounds of a wind. Gradually listen to the sounds that are further away – the trees outside, the airplanes, or distant car honks. Imagine you can hear sounds that are even further away – dogs barking a mile away, the ocean hundreds of miles away. Let yourself float away trying to catch those distant sounds.
