Giveaway: Real Food Real Easy

May is my birthday month, so all month long we’ll be celebrating here on the blog – I’ve got a great birthday cake recipe to share with you, plus a new powdered-sugar-free (and super delicious) frosting recipe – and of course, there are presents! But not for me. You, my friends, will receive the presents! I’ve got a few awesome giveaways lined up just for you, so stick around!

The first one is an e-book chock full of recipes right up my alley… Real Food, Real Easy. My kinda cookbook! I am  proud to say that some wonderful bloggy friends of mine helped put this book together, and trust me – you will love what they’ve done.

Real Food, Real Easy is particularly useful if you’re new to the concept of “real food” and cooking from scratch: it’s got you covered with all kinds of recipes for foods you know and recognize, but without the yucky fake ingredients. Green Bean Casserole, anyone?

Even the seasoned home cook, though, will find some great new recipes, like the homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Cold Cereal or the Carrot Patties (those are on my list to try!).

What I love most is that there are recipes in here that take healthy eating up a notch without complicating anything. Like the Black Bean Brownies, for example. An easy way to make grain-free brownies that are especially good for you with all those beans! (And trust me, they don’t taste like beans.)

It’s not just a cookbook, though. Real Food, Real Easy will walk you through the complicated maze of nutritional information and give you all you need to know to navigate it yourself. Read about soaking and sprouting and whether or not it’s necessary, and learn all about the different kinds of sweeteners and what makes them healthy (or not). I particularly love the section that breaks down all the different kinds of fat into three categories: Good, Bad, Indifferent. Trust me, folks: that information is hard to find. Having it all in one place is priceless!

You can get this cookbook yourself for only $9.95 (definitely worth it for the 70+ recipes and all the useful information it contains). Or you can enter my giveaway! This giveaway will run from now until next Tuesday, May 8 at midnight. I will email the winner, who then has 3 days to get back in touch with me or I will choose another winner.
