Beautifully speaking, I am a happily self-sustained person. All my moisturizers, cleansers, and toners are leftovers from Petite Marie Organics production. My bathrooms are crammed with prototypes of masks, scrubs, and toners in unlabeled plain glass jars. Needless to say, the last thing on my shopping list is a new cleanser or a toner.

But this time, I am impressed. This is actually the first time I am tempted to buy someone else's skincare product.

Check this out: ingredients in Bare Escentuals' RareMinerals Facial Cleanser:

Kaolin, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Tapioca Starch, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Citric Acid, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Hydrated Silica, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Canola Oil, Soil Mineral Concentrate, Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Colloidal Oatmeal, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Leaf Oil, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Extract, Cereus Grandiflorus (Cactus) Flower Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Oil, Juniperus Communis Fruit Oil, Carum Petroselinum (Parsley) Extract, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Quillaja Saponaria Bark Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder, Beta-Carotene, Cellulose Gum, Dimethicone, Benzyl Alcohol, Mica.

Where are parabens that you guys used to stuff even in your dry mineral foundations? Where are other toxic staples of greenwashing beauty industry insiders? Not one in sight! Good job!

I don't say this cleanser will suit everyone. Most likely, it will best suit oilier types with acne. Still, it's worth trying out.

Now, let's take RareMinerals Facial Mist:

Water, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Water, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Water, Glycerin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Trehalose, Tamarindus Indica Seed Polysaccharide, Soil Minerals, Zinc PCA, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Myrothamnus Flabellifolia Leaf/Stem Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Punica Granatum Extract, Butylene Glycol, Arginine, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate.

Excuse me, what "Soil Minerals" stand for? If for pure soil, then how did you liquefy them to make use in a toner? Hmmmâ?¦. Otherwise, a great brew. And again, very green.

And finally, RareMinerals Purely Nourishing Facial Moisturizer:

Water, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Cocoglycerides, Jojoba Esters, Behenyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Soil Minerals, Propanediol, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Lecithin, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Sterols, Linoleic Acid, Phospholipids, Honey, Panthenol, Sucrose Cocoate, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Punica Granatum Sterols, Tamarindus Indica Seed Polysaccharide, Trehalose, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Peel Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acacia Dealbata Flower/Stem Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matracaria) Flower Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract, Spiraea Ulmaria Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Myrothamnus Flabellifolia Leaf/Stem Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopherol, Benzyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Carbomer, Dehydroacetic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Cellulose Gum.

Of course, I cannot approve the use of butylene glycol, carbomer, DHA (the self-tanning agent that promotes free radical damage) or too much cellulose to make this amazing collection of plant extracts pliable and spreadable on human skin. Still, this is perhaps one of the most impressive additions to mineral makeup market in the last two or three years.

Please guys remain green. Don't make me blush and apologize to my readers for recommending these lovely products. See, this happened with Juice Beauty: I recommended them, and a few months later, they added tons of synthetic preservatives to their products. Angry readers write me (or even leave me negative reviews on Amazon) saying I deceipted them. It's not my fault that Juice Beauty slipped some phenoxyethanol into their lovely products!

So when you guys at Bare Escentuals read this - and I am sure you will - please accept my sincere compliments for the work you've done and my heartfelt plea not to add parabens, phenoxyethanol, or any other toxic junk to your products.

And maybe - if that's not too much to ask for - maybe you'll reconsider the use of bismuth oxychloride in your mineral foundations. It breaks people out like crazy. Seriously.
